Escape from New York 7/10

Can't believe how chessy this film is  I have memories of it being an iconic film (although I hadn't seen it for many many years!)

Hardly seem to watch films these days, I think the last film I watched was Gone in 60 Seconds.

One awesome moment in an otherwise terrible film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R36ssGbClUk

Disney’s Christmas Carol

Postby csunt » Tue Nov 17, 2009 10:17 am

Well, were to start??

The story line is of course the one we all know and love, however; what a great film, the animation is amazing, it’s so life like I spent the first 10 minutes trying to figure out if it was animated!

My 5 year old daughter sat there glued to the big screen and jumped less at the scary bits than I did.

10 out of 10.

2010 - FAB 10/ 10: Story line good, action and effects ace, the cast - good. If you like to be on the edge of your seat and wow'd with FXs then it's 2.5 hours of indulgence.

Absolutely agree - I remember reading the book long before the film and it was awesome.

That novelle (or whatever it is called) by Stephen King had:

Rita Hayworth (which was made into the Shawshank Redemption)
The Body (which was made into Stand By Me - another fantastic film)
Apt Pupil (which was made into Apt Pupil - ok film not as good as the book)
The Breathing Method (never made into a film)

Recently I have watched Step Brothers will Will Ferrell - 7.5/10 much funnier than I thought it was going to be.

and

Quarantine 8/10 - cast of reasonably unknown actors (I recognised a couple - one guy from Hostel and an actress from Heroes) - made you jump and a good story. And a good ending 8-)
